Olga's Bio / Statement

 

Born in Maputo, Mozambique (1980) she started to paint when she lived in Holland for 2 years. Olga worked from her atelier in the capital and is an active member of the national artist association "Nucleo de Arte" of Mozambique. She participated in expositions and workshops in Mozambique and abroad and recently moved to Antwerp, Belgium. Her work is inspired by daily life and the colors that pass by, but also by the strong contrasts in our society. Her paintings are contemporary, abstract, with lots of colour and contrasting spaces.
