Namely jewelry-making and beading.
I've never done it before...but both Hobby Lobby and Michael's were having a sale on materials, so...why not? Plenty of my friends do it, and they make beautiful stuff. Now, I'm not expecting to make intricate beaded chains from the get-go. Just a few simple earrings and bracelets that I can say "Yes, I made this."
So far, I've made 2 items: a pair of black feather clip-on earrings and a silver bracelet with charms on it. I spent a lot of time finding the "right" charms for my bracelet because I wanted the (continued...)

Been really busy playing catch-up...
Last night, I FINALLY got to make the finishing touches on 4 (count 'em, 4) new paintings. One of my favorites, "Wind in my Sails" sat on my easel for 2 freaking weeks because life had become too crazy to finish it.
Occasionally, I get these bursts of creative activity. It's whenever I can fit them in. One of my friends once told me, "Where do you find the time????" My reply: "Anytime I can." I squeeze in time during my kids' naps, and after their bedtime. On the weekends, maybe, but (continued...)
