This is my first blog entry regarding my band World Wide Breakdown. I'm in the early stages of putting this band together, however have had enough experience playing in rock bands, mostly ones I formed since I moved to NYC over six years ago, to know that this shit aint easy. The cool thing about the idea behind this band/project was the thunder struck musical epiphany to create a concept of forming a band and writing songs based on what I've been reading in the papers and on-line. I was having a conversation with my brother the other day and was explaining my new band concept and goals. He was curious about the idea however showed some concern, lazily disguised as genuine interest, about what my current band thought about the new project and how I was going about getting other musicians to come on board. I was explaining the frustrations I'm having with my band - things are moving much too slowly plus there's a lot of negativity swirling about. He knows the frustrations I'm having with getting this band motivated and it's really upsetting too 'cause (continued...)

Fuck. I said to myself when I started writing this blog that I would contribute something daily. Two days in and I already missed that simple agenda. Well, maybe it's not so simple. I mean there's a lot to do in gearing up for this project plus I just moved to a new rehearsal space and that was slightly emotionally jolting. Sounds like just another excuse.
Anyway, I'm feeling pretty good with keeping this moving. I recorded most of the tunes with acoustic guitar & vocals on my mini disk recorder, burned a couple of copies and handed them (continued...)
